I was wondering if I could just donate the $25 to you via Paypal for the lifetime membership, or if it has to be through Google? I’ve found Paypal to be much more convenient, and secure than Google’s been for me.
Hi Derek,
Yes, no problem. You can donate £25 (UK pounds) via Paypal. Just donate the money and then send me an E-mail paul@dinglesgames.com with your login id. You have to Register first (Thats free).
I will then set you up manually,
Paul
Your e-mail doesn’t seem to work. At least, my Hotmail account couldn’t send to you, and sent it back. My e-mail was in regards to sending you two sets of money your way for memberships. One one-year, and one lifetime.
Hi BeadyDock,
The membership allows creation of NPCs with up to 30 levels (20 for pathfinder)for each class on the NPC generators. For non members this is capped at 5 levels for each class. Also, it allows access to the Monster Creator functions that allow you to set up your own monsters and templates, which you can then use in the generator.
Paul
I was looking through the NPC generator for Pathfinder, but don’t seem to be able to make an Alchemist. Am I doing anything wrong, or some how not seeing it?
Hi Kevin video, You will have to change skills manually after you print off the NPC, the skill sets are based on the skill focus you select. At the moment you can’t change them on-line.
If you have any ideas for more class focus’s let me know, or better skills for an existing focus. The are quite easy to set up.

Hi goldblitz1213,
Try going to http://www.dinglesgames.com by typing it in the tool bar rather than using a bookmark. Someone else had the same problem, and said this fixed it. I’ve not been able to recreate the problem though, so not sure what is happening.
You could also try deleting the bookmark and recreating it.

Hi Jarrod_j,
For the 3.5 generator I can only use OGL material and that is basically just the three main books, for the pathfinder RPG Generator I can use just about any material as it’s all OGL. If it appears on the pathfinder OGL http://www.d20pfsrd I can get the info from there.
Hi, do you have any information on how to create and use templates? I’ve poked around a bit and it seems like there is some missing functionality for creating templates.
I see that you can declare something as a template when making a monster, but it doesn’t then separate the difference between a monster and a template.
For example, the vampire template will keep the monster’s previous size, but there’s no way to declare that when creating a template.
Additionally, templates don’t generally set ability scores, they modify them, so it doesn’t make sense to have them be selectable as a number instead of a modifier. Is there something I’m missing?
I just discovered a BUG in Dark Naga stats related to AC (Natural Armor). The system indicates they have a BASE Natural of 20, but d20srd and dandwiki clearly states that is 13. Please correct it.
Beyond this, a simple clarification: setting the Elite STATS heighten the CR of generated monsters by 1, is correct?
Hi Monty, Thanks for reporting the error. I’ve now corrected the Dark Naga.
Elite stats do indeed add +1 to the CR. (PC classes always use Elite stats).
Paul
Ummm Is it possible to get all the “Class Special Abilities” stuff out.
I assume, (or hope) there is something wrong.
It seems to have no relevance to many things and just means a lot more needless edit of the Plain Text.
I Can’t quite see why a plain Dwarf 4th Level fighter would have this lot:
Bane (Su) imbue one of her weapons with the bane special ability as a swift action. rnds/day = level
Banner (Ex) allies within 60 ft +2 morale on fear saves and +1 morale on attack rolls in a charge. Add bonus=
……

Hi Hardwyn,
Thanks it was indeed a bug, It should be fixed now. sorry about that. Just done a change, worked ok in test region (only me) but not in live.
Paul
Hi Paul,
I tried to edit my first brand new monster, but I’m getting confused abut how every field expect to be filled… can’t you open the “New Monster” page with a precompiled example, with every field set to a sample value?
Hi Paul,
Every time I attempt to access the 3.5 generator it does not let me use membership privelages. I have no difficulty in using the Pathfinder link however. Suggestions?
Hi dracosuldi,
Try deleting your bookmark to dinglesgames and create a new one pointing to http://www.dinglesgames.com. Your current book mark is probably pointing to a sub page, this sometimes can cause errors.
Paul
Hi Paul,
how long does it usualy take till you recieve paypal donations and activate the user account? Just sent one via paypal.
Thanks in advance
Marco
Hi m4279,
I’ve set up your lifetime membership. Paypal donations normally come through straight away so I can usually set up the account the same day.

Paul: This is even when I type in the address. (Unfortunately, Yahoo! doesn’t allow me to delete bookmarks until sometime in October because of “maintenance.” )
I made the mistake of resetting my password because I couldn’t quite remember it. That’s caused all the trouble, it seems.
The first one, for the main page. Then I click on the button for the DND 3.5 generator. My login status goes from ‘logged in’ to ‘not logged in’. If I go back or to another page, it changes back to ‘logged in’.
I forgot my password and tried to recover it. I got the new password in my email and copied and pasted it when I tried to login. It said that my password is invalid. What am I doing wrong?
I’m trying to figure out why certain monsters & templates will not go together. For instance, I am trying to create a Great Wyrm Red Dragon and give it the Monster of Legend template. In MonsterForge and this monster generator, I have not been able to combine the two. Will I have to resort to pencil & paper (and a lot of headaches) just to get a accurate calculation?
Hi Matthew
I’ve added a Monster of Legend like Template. The problem is most templates are not SRD so its difficult to no what Wizards of the Coast will allow. Only the core books and psionics for 3.5 are SRD. With a paid membership you can add in your own templates.
Paul
When I use Monster Creator (Add), once it has been added the preselected feats never carry accross to NPC Generator (I have to manually select them). When I advance them by HD, the ability-increase per 4 HD does not seem to occur (is it up to GM to manually add these in?). Also, a Bonus Feat option would be useful as some monster have more feats than what is allowed by HD.
Otherwise, this is a FANTASTIC tool that has saved me so much time!!
Hello, I just purchased a membership, and it works everywhere on the site except when I go to the Pathfinder NPC Generator, then it changes from showing me as logged in to not logged in. Not sure what is going on here.
Also, I would really love to see the Marut added to the monster list.
Thanks, and I love the tools you have on the site.

What do I get with a membership? I am interested, but was curious what a membership entails.

Hi kevin video, I’ve not yet set up the Alchemist yet for the pathfinder. I’ll set it up soon.

How do I edit the skills that the generator gives my NPCs?
Hi Kevin video, You will have to change skills manually after you print off the NPC, the skill sets are based on the skill focus you select. At the moment you can’t change them on-line.

I paid for the membership and seem to have access to level 30 npc’s. But I can not use the monster creator, which says I have not paid the fee…

WHat sources are used in this generator to draw on? I.e., do you have sandstorm, etc?

Hi, Im having trouble, Ive paid for membership but dont seem to be registerd, I may just be dumb but cant seem to access my account.
Hi cam,
I’ve set you up manually, you should have 1 years membership from today.

Where source does the Mummy template come from?
Hi Kevin video,
The source for the Mummy is th D20PFSRD Dread Mummy
See Creating a Normal Mummy further down the page.

I am not finding any other way to contact you as replies to your emails via the world press address just seem to bounce
I’m having a great deal of trouble reseting my password.
I copy it down exactly as it appears on the screen, and enter precisely that password only to be repeatedly told each password is invalid.
I can not figure out what I am doing wrong
This tool is of great value to me when I can access it

The first one, for the main page. Then I click on the button for the DND 3.5 generator. My login status goes from ‘logged in’ to ‘not logged in’. If I go back or to another page, it changes back to ‘logged in’.
Hi Boric G,
What browser are you using? I have made a change to the login routine. Has this helped?

Break Enchantment doesnt appear to be on the cleric LV5 spell list when creating NPCs…Its entirely possible Im just not paying attention though…
Hi JFurlong,
Thanks for reporting, Break Enchantment should be there now.

Thank you for this utility. Paypal send and an activation request sent to the proper address this time.
Was it your intention to mis-spell your email address in one of the top posts in this section?
“..Just donate the money and then send me an E-mail paul@dinglesgamers.com with your login id.”
I don’t believe there is an “R” in your email address.
Hi Caega, Thanks for the membership money I’ve now set you up, and corrected the E-mail address in the post, thanks for pointing it out.

Hey just found this site, love it think it’s a great tool. Question, is there a way to edit animals for mounts? Such as tricks, armor profs, etc?

Sorry, using IE9 on Windows 7. Don’t know if that makes a difference.
Hi delcorio
I’ll add the Inevitables soon.
Have a look at this link to fix IE9 security
