NPC 62

The Abbey Entrance, two huge Chimera  (pathfinder CR 13)
Over the next few days I will be creating encounters for the Abbey of the True and the Wise. An adventure for a 13th-14th level pathfinder party.

The ancient abbey of the true and the wise was once known to have a library which contained every book ever written. It was built on the side of Mount Nevertop. Centuries ago the abbey was attacked be the forces of the evil lich Crattak. During the battle the mountain collapsed on the abbey completely burying it, the legend of the abbey of true and wise is now just a distant memory.

Actually what happened on that fateful day at the abbey is the abbot, Simon, with his dying words threw a  curse , this created the cave-in protecting the library from being taken by the forces of evil. The abbey is still under tons of rock but the grounds and buildings are protected by a forcefield, within the abbey are remnants of the Crattak the lich’s army, trapped in the abbey for the last two hundred years  by Simon’s curse.

Recently after a rockfall a small opening has appeared allowing entrance to the abbeys courtyard. Next to this opening two huge chrimera have made their nest in a cave. To get to the abbey the chimera must be vanquished.
