Hi ironballs, I’ve done changes to the way lychanthropes, Fiendish and Half-Fiend templates are working. They should now all be work correctly in the Pathfinder NPC Generator.
Let me know if you think it’s working right.
Hi ironballs, I’d not looked into Pathfinder Lychanthropes in detail. They are quite different to the way D&D 3.5 worked. It looks as if I will have to do some program changes to cope with the Pathfinder rules. The “were” templates as they are at the moment are quite a lot stronger than the Pathfinder rules. I should get it corrected this week.
I’ve updated the Half-fiend template
Paul
I only use the Pathfinder generator:
Regarding the werebear – The CR should be:
[the CR of the base creature (barb 5) OR the creature (CR 5)] +1 = so total CR 6…
I quote: “CR: Same as base creature or base animal (whichever is higher) +1.”
Regarding the Fiendish template:
I think you mistaken it with the “Half-fiend” template. Fiendish’s CR is 0-1, Half-fiend is 1-3.
Other then that, great job! this is a very impressing feat of code engineering – very accurate results!
Hi ironballs,
Thanks, I’ve split the fiendish template up into HD ranges so the CR will be correct i.e 1-3 = 0, 4-7 = +1 and 8+ = +2. A werebear should give +4 CR so a 5th level barbarian werebear should be CR 9 (5 for barbarian and +4 for werebear). (page 177 of MM list CR depending on animal HD: 1-2 = +2, 3-5 = +3, 6-10 +4, 11-20 +5, 21+ +6.)
For Pathfinder the CR is either +1 or the CR of the base creature whichever is higher).
If you find anything else please let me know.
Paul
Hi asernick, I was using the .01 to denote masterwork armor in the calculation for skill penalties. I’ve now taken this off the display.

Hi,
excellent inovation! congratulation!
Bug report:
CR calculation for templated creature is often worng.
a Wight(fiendish) shown as a CR 5, when it should be CR 3.
human barbarian 5 werebear – is CR 8, when it should be 6 – and generally, the few templates I’ve seen are often 1 or 2 higher CR then they should be.
Hello and thank you for making this site which is critical to hours of fun for my gaming group.
When I add the “Armor masterwork masterwork” property the AC shows as an extra .01, like so: 21.01
I’ve tested this on a few combinations and it appears consistent.
Hi JFurlong,
Thanks for reporting I’ve updated the horse stats for the Pathfinder generator
Hi Paul,
Just to let you know the Heavy Warhorse does not appear to have a bite attack in its full attack.
Thanks again for providing such a great resource!
James
Hi jezzakstyles, I’ve updated the menu list on the left. It sounds as if you are not allowing cookies. You should have full access to all menu options. Have a look at this link
