Haukal the Mad Mage (D&D 3.5 CR 7)

At the age of 13 Haukal had to run away from his position of mages apprenticeship after he cast magic missile at the gardener to see what would happen (he blew his head off). Haukal has spent his latter years wandering the wilderness.

Haukal is quite mad, he has no concept on the value of life (apart from his own), if he catches someone lurking in the bushes he is as likely to drill him with magic missiles, as to throw a rock, or ask “who’s there?” (he knows not to fireball sneaky types as its a bit of a waste).

On the other hand Haukal can be quite pleasant, as long as people treat him with some respect and don’t go sneaking around. He is very quick to take offense though.

After years of traveling Haukal is quite able to survive in the wildness on his own for weeks at a time, and has had to on many occasions, after leaving smoldering ruins of villages behind him, and gangs of angry villages chasing.
